Camera & Images (Google Cloud Vision API): When you scan a note using your camera, the captured image is sent securely to the Google Cloud Vision API for text recognition (OCR). The image is transmitted over HTTPS and is used solely to extract the text from your photo. We do not store the image on our servers, and the original image is discarded on your device immediately after text extraction is complete. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum.
PDF Files (On-Device OCR): When you import a PDF, text recognition is performed entirely on your device using on-device OCR. PDF file contents are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service.
